Requirements
- Minimum of bachelor's degree
- Experience in an auto finance operational role or auto industry experience preferred
- People management experience is strongly preferred
- Thorough knowledge of credit-related laws, consumer lending/underwriting concepts, practices, and procedures is strongly preferred
- Excellent sales skills with an ability to think quickly in a dynamic environment to overcome resistance
- Ability to solve problems under pressure and provide creative solutions when necessary
- Intrinsically motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify needs, make recommendations for improvement, see recommendations through implementation, and evaluate improvements for effectiveness
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of the internet and standard business applications such as Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn new computer applications as required
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and demonstrated ability to effectively set and manage multiple conflicting priorities
- Ability to think strategically and deliver tactically
Responsibilities
- Lead a profitable team of sales representatives
- Capture deals that meet the company’s risk and profitability guidelines within the assigned market
- Act in a buying capacity to ensure the service levels of the team
- Set departmental goals and develop and maintain a daily employee work schedule
- Motivate and lead a team, provide quality training, guidance, performance coaching, and feedback to assigned staff
- Run daily reports to optimize workflow efficiency
- Monitor the performance of assigned staff against prescribed metrics
- Develop and maintain positive business relationships with dealers through conversations and solicitations
- Maintain electronic records and files
