Requirements
  • A BA/BS undergraduate degree or equivalent in Business, Technology, Analytics, or Health Sciences is required.
  • At least 7 years of experience in data management, analytics, insights, or other commercial excellence roles within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • Proficiency with data sources and products, including pharmaceutical industry syndicated or secondary data from IQVIA, Veeva, Definitive Healthcare, the American Hospital Association, the American Medical Association, and MedPro.
  • A strong analytical toolkit, including modern business intelligence tools and infrastructure for managing large datasets, with proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Proven project management experience in cross-functional technology projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, including business and data analysis focused on master data management operational processes across multiple therapeutic areas.
  • Experience using master data management tools such as Informatica and Reltio and applying them within a master data management solution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex technical issues.
  • Customer focus with relationship building, issue identification and resolution, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to apply policies and standards consistently.
  • Vendor management experience for an outsourced stewardship team.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the ongoing quality and application of the data pipeline supporting the sales and marketing organization, ensuring high-quality data and appropriate use.
  • Evaluate and drive data management processes, including best practices and processes supporting efficiencies in customer and vendor data management.
  • Lead solution design and development to create a single source of truth through master data management customer and account data product solutions.
  • Identify and define strategies to integrate master data and data products with operational systems.
  • Implement master data management standards, enforce data governance procedures, and ensure data integrity across multiple platforms.
  • Lead and manage the team on master data management activities, including defining cleanse rules, survivorship rules, and match rules.
  • Track team progress, identify risks and issues, and communicate project value to leadership.
  • Ensure master data quality in key systems and develop and document processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity.
  • Oversee resolution of data change requests from the organization.
  • Identify root causes of data quality problems within the assigned stewardship area and develop sustainable solutions.
  • Define the data product vision, goals, roadmap, value proposition, and performance measures.
  • Identify new use cases and projects for the data product.
  • Drive ongoing data product adoption and tracking.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering with business data experts and Information Technology.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology teams to implement current plans and programs.
  • Define and implement data strategy, policies, controls, and programs with subject matter experts and data stewards to ensure enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable.
