Academic Program Manager
Job location: This is a remote/hybrid position. You can work from home and be located anywhere in Canada. Please note if you are located in Ottawa you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment of 3 days per week in office.
About the team
The Academic Program Manager is responsible for managing a global Kinaxis Academic Program to foster academic / industry partnerships that keep Kinaxis at the forefront of supply chain leadership and drives next generation supply chain talent.
The Academic Program includes (but is not limited to) guest lectures, case studies, student case competitions and the new Kinaxis Supply Chain game. As program manager, you will execute on a strategy to scale the Kinaxis Supply Chain Game in collaboration with product development, marketing, HR, faculty, students, partners, and others. This will include applying an understanding of curriculum design and Kinaxis Supply Chain Game usage to increase adoption while capturing learning discussions and developing additional learning assets that support concurrency. As Academic Program Manager you will also help identify and support a novel mix of academic luminaries for innovative thought leadership and trusted conversations.
The Academic Program manager will demonstrate a passion for challenging the status quo and be comfortable engaging with a wide variety of audiences from faculty to C-suite with proven success working cross-functional engagements for measurable outcomes and impact.
What you will do
- Manage well-designed and timely communications to our global academic communities.
- Expand global reach with academic thought leaders and communities in EMEA and Asia and engage with the field to foster additional brand credibility.
- Execute on a strategy to scale the Kinaxis Supply Chain Game in collaboration with product development, marketing, HR, faculty, students, partners, and others.
- Promote game players and their enthusiasm and create novel supply chain thought leadership.
- Apply an understanding of curriculum design and Kinaxis Supply Chain Game usage to increase adoption. Capture learning discussions and develop learning assets that support concurrency.
- Attend industry/academic conferences and elevate Kinaxis brand; speak on behalf of Kinaxis to faculty, students, and industry communities
- Continuously enhance our Kinaxis Academic Program website and invite more academics, students and collaborators to engage with Kinaxis; leverage social media and other channels for additional brand impact, and to amplify achievements.
- Drive increased student engagement via Kinaxis Certifications in partnership with Training and Enablement.
- Partner with HR to help build a talent pipeline and increase global brand awareness. Proliferate job-ready skills and learning development for Kinaxis and our customers.
- Create case studies that capture customer stories in collaboration with leading professors and manage participation in student case competitions. Execute on steps required to deliver a case from idea to dissemination with legal sign-off.
- Oversee academic research collaborations that improve upon the practice of supply chain and provide timely insights for customers/prospects.
- Track program metrics and use data and storytelling skills to effectively communicate program results and cascade value.
What we are looking for
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in relevant field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years’ experience preferably in a fast-paced high-tech environment, data and analytics.
- Proven track record managing complex programs and projects to completion.
- Skills to design a program, articulate metrics, evangelize engagement and accomplish objectives.
- Strong Communicator with the ability to provide clear, concise messaging and present information in a way that engages various audiences
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to coordinate input from multiple teams to achieve results for the business.
- Agile and adaptable; excels at managing and prioritizing workloads in an environment of ongoing urgency, ambiguity, and change.
