  • Three to five years of creating content for a public website and/or social media account.
  • Must possess strong writing and communications skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience working on or collaborating with a public relations or marketing team.
  • Familiarity with Section 508 compliance, the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) style guide, and social media management tools such as Sprout Social is required.
Responsibilities
  • Tasks include researching, writing, and proofreading content for the main agency website (usmint.gov) and supporting websites such as kids.usmint.gov and ccac.gov.
  • Other tasks include drafting content for email newsletters; writing social media posts; and using analytical tools to track website and social media performance as well as media spend results.
  • The marketing manager’s time is expected to be split with one-third of hours spent supporting existing general education, web, and social programs and content and two-thirds of hours supporting new program content.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency with a content management system (CMS) such as WordPress or Adobe Experience Manager is preferred, but not required.
