Raye IT is looking for an innovative and experienced Cloud Engineer to support a federal client within the Washington, D.C. area.

Responsibilities

Automate the provisioning and managing of Infrastructure resources required for the project.
Evaluate new technology and makes recommendations for implementation.
Analyze requirements for system upgrades and implementations including hardware/software resources, logistics and planning issues, testing and training.
Plan and to direct the activities of other engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related field.
8+ years of Cloud engineering experience
5 years of Enterprise Data Management (EDW) experience in administering and provisioning Database servers, data backup and recovery procedures, auditing etc using On-prem or Cloud products. (Highly preferred)
Able to use Terraform at mid to senior level to build cloud infrastructure.
3+ years of experience using Azure cloud services in provisioning and administrating services such as Azure Data factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Analysis services and Azure Active directory.
Continuous integration, test automation and / or DevSecOps on iterative development projects.
Assist with leading and overseeing a total system perspective including technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of cloud, on premise, and hybrid services, infrastructure and security domains.

Preferred: Azure administration Certification.

Security Clearance Requirement: Public Trust.

Place of Performance: Washington, DC area (hybrid)
