Job Description
We are looking for an on-site AV Technician providing a professional Audio & Visual Support service to the various meeting rooms and event spaces within the three Publicis Groupe London campuses, Chancery Lane, TVC & Turnmills.
The chosen candidate should have previous experience working within the audio & visual industry. Being accountable & responsible for delivering all the audio & visual requirements to satisfy the day-to-day business needs, while having the ability to remain calm and focused especially in situations under extreme pressure. This includes being responsible for the setup and design of AV equipment for client pitches and events internally and externally, making sure everything tech wise runs as smoothly as possible and being on hand to support throughout. This also includes having good knowledge and understanding within live broadcast webinars for live events and presentations streamed online.
This person needs to be highly resourceful, flexible, innovative, enthusiastic, someone who is extremely reliable, with good problem-solving skills and who is willing to work in a small team whilst also being able to work independently. Someone that has a firm interest and knowledge in the world of blue-chip audio & visual technology, who is proactively willing to research new solutions and technologies to support our team, processes and evolving tech requests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead tech checks in meeting rooms on daily basis ensuring that all equipment is fully functional. Further tech checks carried out ahead of client meetings & pitches, ensuring conferencing details provided are compatible with in-house VC systems.
- Provide a dedicated and professional AV support service to colleagues & clients at all levels of the business. Having the ability to troubleshoot in situations under extreme pressure, while remaining calm and focused at all times and being able to communicate effectively.
- Installation, setup & configuration of technical AV/VC equipment, AV systems & software in a proficient manner. (Display Screens, Vision Switchers, Video Conferencing & Streaming of Live Events, Audio & PA Systems, Wireless Technology, Digital Signage)
- Maintenance and minor repair of AV equipment to provide a fully functioning service.
- Working on a range of other more advanced AV activities which currently includes Video Conferencing configuration, Audio & Video Recording/Capturing, Video Editing and Digital Encoding.
- Respond to all meeting room and event bookings as directed, ensuring that the required equipment is available and fully functional.
- Scheduling online meetings & being available as a Live Support Assistant.
- Basic Filmography Skills | Setting up of Video Camera’s, Audio & Lighting
- Digital Encoding of Video Files making sure they are in the correct in the correct spec for the various S&S Social Media platforms.
Qualifications
- Having good knowledge & passion for Audio & Visual Technology.
- (Display Screens, Video Conferencing Systems & Streaming of Live Events, Vision Switchers, Audio Mixers, PA Systems, Control Systems).
- Extensive knowledge of Windows PC and Mac along with the following applications: Microsoft Office 365 (inc Powerpoint), Keynote, Google Slides, Adobe platforms - Premiere, Media Encoder, Photoshop and the following Web Conferencing platforms; MS Teams, Zoom, BlueJeans, WebEx,Google Meets.
- Creative thinker with problem solving skills while having the ability to learn new concepts.
- Good people skills and ability to work across departments / good communication skills is essential.
- Having the ability to remain calm & focused at all times.
- Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively across organisations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management. Must be able to prioritise and multi-task effectively.
- Good knowledge in the various digital file formats and their screen resolution & bit rates, etc.
