Requirements
  • High School or equivalent.
  • 2 Year Technical School or equivalent training such as Navy “A” school or recognized correspondence is required. One or more years of demonstrated experience in maintaining and operating electronic equipment may be substituted for technical school.
  • Five years progressive experience in a related field is required with a minimum of two years of experience in the specific field assignment.
  • Must be able to certify targets drones utilizing specialized test and measuring equipment’s.
  • Must be ordnance certified to inspect, install, test and remove target related ordnances.
  • Must be capable of performing duties as DCO and/or RCO.
  • Possess working knowledge of electronics theory and be proficient in reading and interpreting complicated schematic diagrams for troubleshooting and repair to the component level.
  • Must have a soldering certificate from a commercial firm, technical school or Military school.
  • Possess the following PC skills: Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Other; NALCOMIS System.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Perform periodic inspections and maintenance tasks in accordance with published procedures and or OEM guidelines. Documents results all maintenance actions electronically through Navy's record keeping system.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs aerial target systems by reading and interpreting electronic / mechanical schematics and using simple and complex test equipment.
  • Assists in preparing and developing new procedures, procedural changes and modification proposals.
  • Configure/install augmentation equipment’s, checks-out, calibrate, modify and perform acceptance tests on target drones and associated ground support equipment’s.
  • Must be able to perform duties as Direct Control Operator (DCO) and/or Target Remote Control Operator (RCO).
  • Perform other duties as required.
