Requirements
  • At least 7 years of experience with scheduling and risk.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6, risk management, and cost management.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 for scheduling and resource management, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • A degree in Project Management, Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with Power Generation projects.
  • Experience with project development.
Responsibilities
  • Perform project support and work-planning scheduling services.
  • Learn and use written and historical knowledge, procedures, processes, and workflows to develop reports communicating the department’s near-, mid-, and long-term work plan internally and externally.
  • Seek inputs and changes affecting the work plan, ensure they are reviewed and accepted, and update the work plan appropriately.
  • Monitor and communicate department project-specific tasks, required inputs, and work durations to Project Managers during project-plan development.
  • Develop processes for collecting data related to department trends and provide input for continuous-improvement ideas.
  • Create dashboards and program reports.
  • Review communication of the department’s status and assist with communicating this status to project managers, stakeholders, and management.
  • Disseminate information accurately and in a timely manner based on developed and received inputs.
  • Provide customer service and foster team building by building relationships with peers, stakeholders, and management.
  • Work with project stakeholders to capture and document the department’s business requirements and desired end state.
  • Integrate staff inputs, task durations, and required resources for specific tasks and communicate them to project teams.

L.A. Family Housing provides affordable housing for low-income families in Greater Los Angeles and pairs it with supportive services. They own and operate 22 properties, including three shelters and 19 permanent affordable buildings, offering a continuum of care from temporary housing to permanent rental housing. Residents receive case management, basic needs support, and programs to build self-sufficiency, helping families move from homelessness to housing stability. Their goal is to preserve and grow affordable housing while reducing homelessness and strengthening neighborhoods in low-income communities.
