Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related discipline preferred from an accredited university and 8 years of experience, or a Master’s degree (preferred) in a STEM related discipline and 6 years of experience, or PhD in a STEM related field with 4 years relevant experience
  • Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Must be part of an integrated team responsible for developing and maintaining the necessary physical, functional, and technical requirements baselines that define the desired capabilities of an evolving MDS Command & Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) system
  • Demonstrated experience in mission analysis with skill in: Development of use cases, Sequence diagrams, SysML modeling in support of MBSE
  • Skills in generating system or element-level functional, performance, and interface specifications to document and control the achievement of desired capabilities
  • Requirements elicitation, derivation, and decomposition into lower-level subsystems and components
  • Maintenance of system and component baselines in a requirements management system
  • Defining the relationships between internal and external components
  • Communicating system-level use cases and their associated epics and feature relationships to a diverse group, including customers, developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users.
Responsibilities
  • Develop use cases and prepare systems engineering artifacts, including defining Epics and Features for the Cross-Functional Product Teams to implement customer-requested capabilities
  • Support the development and review of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, architectural documentation, system engineering estimates, and conduct formal and informal engineering reviews
  • Provide development support for junior systems engineering team members to create use cases, enhancing their skills within the department
  • Reviewing the content and details of technical products and serving as a technical interface to MDA working-level counterparts as needed
  • Work will be performed under the direction of various technical leads and product owners, requiring collaboration with team members, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure that high-quality products are delivered on time and within the available resources
  • Solves complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
  • Work is performed without appreciable direction and is reviewed for desired results from a relatively long time perspective
  • Erroneous decisions would generally fail to achieve primary organizational objectives
  • May function in project leadership roles and represent the organization as the prime customer contact on significant technical matters on contracts
  • Must have the ability to be flexible to support various tasks on short notice.
Desired Qualifications
  • Current and Active in-scope DoD-issued TS/SCI clearance at the time of application is highly preferred
  • Master's Degree in Systems Engineering
  • Certification: INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification
  • Certification: Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional - Model Builder Fundamental (OCSMP - MBF)
  • DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA Security, etc.) is highly desired at the start
  • Skills in logical architecture modeling and interface definition, along with knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and security accreditation, are highly desirable
  • Experience with Agile Methods, and Epic and Feature definition is a significant plus
  • Experience with other Space Domain and Missile Defense Systems is highly desired.
