JobNimbus unveils a new push to modernize the roofing industry. FinanceWire Sep. 1, 2026, 03:32 PM Lehi, UT, United States, September 1st, 2026, FinanceWire JobNimbus, which has already made a mark in the roofing industry through its innovative CRM, is now poised to further modernize the industry with the introduction of AI tools built to streamline contractor work. Tyler Folkman, Chief AI Officer at JobNimbus, says the company's current and upcoming AI features extend work it has been doing for years: building software specifically for an industry most technology companies have passed over. Building On a Foundation of Tech Innovation The rollout of AI-powered features isn't something that comes out of the blue for Folkman and the JobNimbus team. Rather, it builds upon the modernization priorities that have defined the business since its inception. "The roofing industry, like so many others, has long relied on doing things manually. That includes collecting customer payments, writing up estimates and even measuring roofs to make those estimates in the first place," Folkman explains. "Manual work is slow, and there's a lot of room for error. And when every task lives in a separate app, it's difficult to see the whole job from lead to payment in one place." With this in mind, JobNimbus was formed to serve as an all-in-one CRM tool for roofing contractors, offering integrations with industry-specific resources like EagleView (a roof measurement app) and Angi (for lead management). Alongside built-in workflows for financing, invoicing, estimates and communications, the CRM has provided a streamlined solution for modern roofing operations. Given the nature of roofing work, a key aspect of JobNimbus was making its CRM available both as office software and as a cloud-based mobile app. "Roofing doesn't happen in the office," Folkman says. "There are a lot of moving parts, and most of them are out in the field. It's easy to lose important details when you don't have one source of truth. The office and the field need to see the same information and make decisions off it. Otherwise you get mismatched info, and mistakes follow." AI Tools Specifically Designed for Roofers JobNimbus has already gone a long way toward modernizing roofing, bringing a digital approach to the business side of contracting. And with the recent release of its Analytics AI, the company is planning to take that even further. "Roofing contractors shouldn't have to hire a full-time analyst or tech person to understand their dashboards. But those numbers are essential for understanding the overall health and cash flow of the business, especially when it comes to catching problems before they eat away at your profit," Folkman explains. "With Analytics AI, contractors can just ask the AI a question the way they would ask a person. It pulls the answer straight from the company's own data to provide a detailed, conversational answer that contractors can actually use." Analytics AI builds off JobNimbus's free analytics tool, which provides pre-built dashboards and a reporting library for contractors. With Analytics AI, a conversational assistant is layered on top of these dashboards, making it easier for contractors to access the information within their dashboards. "We've found that in the past, contractors would go through a very convoluted process, exporting data from a reporting tool to spreadsheets or a separate business intelligence tool to get the information they wanted," Folkman explains. "Analytics AI simplifies this by allowing you to get straight answers that come directly from your own data. This also makes it easier to go deeper than just seeing what happened. Analytics AI can help answer the follow-up questions so you can understand your numbers and act on them." As with the other features JobNimbus had previously developed, this AI-powered feature was designed for users who are often on the go in a job that requires constant manual labor. An AI that can be easily used, even on the job site, enables faster and better insights so contractors can focus on the other tasks that help grow the business. Analytics AI is just the start of the company's AI-powered feature rollout. JobNimbus also recently launched NimbusLabs, an early access program that allows contractors to opt-in to test and refine additional features before they are made available for all users. By drawing on real experience from real contractors, the team plans to deliver truly specialized and targeted tools. Tech Advances Changing Industries As the example of Folkman and JobNimbus reveals, practically every industry has opportunities for modernization and streamlining through tech. By using industry-focused CRM features and strategic AI implementation, the roofing industry is finding ways to become more efficient and profitable. As tech innovators continue to find ways to make meaningful improvements to contractors' day-to-day workflows, the contractors who are quickest to adapt these tools will likely find new opportunities to improve their operations. About JobNimbus JobNimbus is an AI-enabled CRM for roofing contractors, purpose-built to support businesses from their first million to their next hundred, without the chaos. By connecting every stage of the job lifecycle, from winning work to collecting payment and driving referrals, JobNimbus replaces the fragmented stacks holding growing contractors back. JobNimbus is trusted by over 8,000 contractors every day. Contact. JobNimbus [email protected] Sponsored Financial Content
