Requirements
  • Two years experience in an inpatient unit is required.
  • Two years of combined work experience and leadership experience may be considered in lieu of two years’ experience in an inpatient unit is required.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact is required.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
  • ACLS certification for East Madison Hospital Medical and Surgical Floor 4th within 180 days is required.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a front-line leader in a collaborative environment on the inpatient medical surgical unit, mentoring nurses to advance their knowledge and skills, monitoring nursing quality metrics, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with management for unit hiring and patient experience rounding.
  • Optimize patient and staff outcomes through resource utilization and distribution of patient care assignments.
Desired Qualifications
  • National certification in relevant specialty is preferred.
  • Three years of experience in an acute care inpatient unit is preferred.
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing is preferred.
