- Two years experience in an inpatient unit is required.
- Two years of combined work experience and leadership experience may be considered in lieu of two years’ experience in an inpatient unit is required.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact is required.
- Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
- ACLS certification for East Madison Hospital Medical and Surgical Floor 4th within 180 days is required.
- Serve as a front-line leader in a collaborative environment on the inpatient medical surgical unit, mentoring nurses to advance their knowledge and skills, monitoring nursing quality metrics, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with management for unit hiring and patient experience rounding.
- Optimize patient and staff outcomes through resource utilization and distribution of patient care assignments.
- National certification in relevant specialty is preferred.
- Three years of experience in an acute care inpatient unit is preferred.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing is preferred.
