Requirements

  • Experience operating all types of heavy equipment.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least five years of operating experience.
  • Workplace safety practices.
  • Ability to travel with limited notice.
  • Ability to operate machinery in all weather conditions and terrains.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds at a time.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check and drug test.
Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for all jobsite activities and safety related to the company's scope of work on each project.
  • Oversee and coordinate all vendors and subcontractors and supervise assigned company staff.
  • Participate in planning, supervision, and construction efforts to complete projects.
  • Supervise assigned crew members, work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations for company staff.
  • Handle complaints and grievances, disciplinary actions, and maintain production records.
  • Facilitate professional relationships with clients, owners, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and company staff.
  • Assure the proper operation and maintenance of equipment under company staff's control, including appropriate applications for the respective equipment.
  • Develop and execute an effective plan for each crew member and their area of responsibility before commencing work activities.
  • Determine the means and methods necessary, including individual work activities, to meet project goals.
  • Oversee all aspects of the construction project through completion.
  • Mobilize necessary tools and other construction equipment.
  • Ensure employees conduct routine inspections and identify and report needed maintenance or repairs on company equipment.
  • Adhere to and enforce safety rules, guidelines, codes, and company policies.
  • Maintain project records, including daily logs, time and materials records, manpower, and materials used.
  • Review company staff timecards through Procore.
  • Assist the Project Manager in maintaining the established budget and monitoring labor hours and production.
  • Oversee crews and production on site, with crew sizes varying from 5 to 50 members.
  • Ensure projects and production remain on schedule.
  • Work with clients on-site to maintain communication and partnership between contractor and client.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
