Requirements
  • At least 4 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Receiving Inspection, Quality Manufacturing, or a related aerospace or manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 and control of nonconforming material.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning, quality management systems, manufacturing execution systems, or electronic nonconformance management systems.
  • Ability to obtain a United States security clearance; United States citizenship is required by the United States Government.
  • Ability to satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest assessment process.
  • United States export control compliance eligibility as a United States Person under 22 C.F.R. §120.62.
  • Willingness to apply for and maintain a security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage open Material Review Board nonconformances, maintaining visibility of aging, stagnant, priority, and production-impacting items requiring action.
  • Lead recurring Material Review Board meetings with Buyers, Planners, Supply Reliability Engineers, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Receiving Inspection to review status, determine next actions, and establish ownership.
  • Drive nonconformances toward timely disposition and closure by following up with responsible action owners and identifying issues preventing progress.
  • Review workflow and reassign or route nonconformances to the appropriate responsible individual or organization when technical review, supplier action, or additional ownership is required.
  • Verify nonconformance records are complete and ready for review, including clear problem descriptions, affected part or lot information, supporting documentation, and required attachments.
  • Track Material Review Board action items, due dates, dispositions, supplier responses, and outstanding requirements to ensure actions are completed and properly documented.
  • Identify and escalate aging, stagnant, or high-priority nonconformances that may impact production schedules, material availability, or program commitments.
  • Coordinate with Buyers, Supply Reliability, and suppliers to obtain missing or corrected Certificates of Conformance, material certifications, special process certifications, First Article Inspection Reports, and other required documentation.
  • Route received supplier documentation to the appropriate Quality or Inspection personnel for technical review and validation.
  • Follow up until documentation-related nonconformances have been resolved.
  • Coordinate containment and material status with Receiving Inspection and Quality Engineering, ensuring affected material is properly identified, segregated, and accounted for while awaiting disposition.
  • Coordinate execution of approved dispositions such as rework, Return to Vendor, replacement, scrap, or return to inspection, ensuring actions are routed to the appropriate organization.
  • Perform final coordination checks before nonconformance closure to ensure required disposition actions, supporting documentation, inspector verification, and applicable approvals have been completed.
  • Maintain accurate Material Review Board status, aging, action, and closure metrics and provide routine updates to Quality leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement and standardization of Material Review Board processes, including workflows, dashboards, trackers, and escalation processes to reduce nonconformance cycle time and improve material flow.
  • Support internal and external audits and quality reviews by providing accurate nonconformance status, records, and supporting documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Aerospace Quality Receiving Inspection, Supplier Quality, or Material Review Board experience.
  • Experience coordinating activities across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and suppliers.
  • Working knowledge of nonconformance and Material Review Board processes.
  • Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements.
  • Experience reviewing Certificates of Conformance, material certifications, special process certifications, First Article Inspection Reports, and other supplier documentation.
  • ASQ certification or related quality training.

The decline comes despite no recent negative earnings reports or major setbacks. Boeing's commercial airplane unit delivered 171 airplanes in Q2 2026, its highest quarterly total since 2018. Revenue over the trailing twelve months reached $94.0 billion, up 24.8%. However, the company still posts a twelve-month operating loss, with operating margin at -5.4%. Analysis of 15 market shocks since 2007 shows Boeing fell an average of 24% from peak to trough, versus 16% for the S&P 500. The deepest drop was 72% during the 2020 COVID-19 crash. More than six years later, Boeing remains approximately 39% below its pre-crash high.

Boeing cuts operating loss by half as it delivers 171 planes in Q2 2026

Boeing shares trade at $208.87, down 12% over the past year, as the company continues to lose money building aeroplanes. However, the rate of loss is shrinking rapidly. Operating margin improved to negative 5.4% over the past twelve months, up from negative 12.4% a year earlier. The second quarter of 2026 turned positive at 0.6%. Boeing delivered 171 aeroplanes in that quarter, its highest total since 2018. The commercial aeroplane unit showed a negative 2.7% operating margin in Q2 2026. Programme cash margins on the 737 and 787 run slightly above breakeven, with management attributing this to pricing drags that dissipate as deliveries continue. Management expects to ramp 737 production to 52 aeroplanes per month, with no supply-chain constraints anticipated. The Air Force One programme took a $280 million charge in Q2 2026.

Boeing upgraded to Buy by Argus on Q2 cash flow turnaround and $715B backlog

Argus upgraded Boeing from Hold to Buy on 11 August, citing the company's long-term prospects in commercial aerospace. Boeing secures $3B revolving credit facility, extends $7B in existing agreements to 2029-2030

Boeing has secured a new $3 billion, 364-day revolving credit facility, replacing an expiring agreement of the same size. The facility, arranged by Citibank and JPMorgan Chase Bank, runs until 23 August 2027, with options to convert borrowings into term loans or extend for another year. The agreement requires Boeing to maintain minimum liquidity of $5 billion and limits consolidated debt to 60% of total capital. Interest rates are tied to Boeing's credit rating, ranging from Term SOFR plus 1.250% to 1.700% annually. Boeing also amended two existing five-year credit agreements worth $4 billion and $3 billion, extending them to May 2030 and August 2029 respectively. Both now include the same $5 billion minimum liquidity requirement.
