Responsibilities
  • Responsible for leading Consumer weekly trading cadence including the consolidation of a complete and interlocking view across marketing, acquisition, loyalty-retention and churn KPI.
  • Responsible for delivery of actionable insights to ensure trading KPI are met; up-weighting activities which are performing well and downsizing those which are not, to improve the commercial outlook from both a customer volume and profitability perspective.
  • Responsible for driving Altnet prioritisation, through both acquisition and loyalty-retention trading focus on Altnet mix.
  • Responsible for championing with technology and data-engineering provision and availability of all data underpinning trading performance and integration of volume planning so day-to-day trading KPI are seamless through to multi-year budget planning.
  • You will drive a continuous improvement culture across the team, always looking for ways to improve the customer experience and commercial outcomes.
  • Primary point of contact with operational teams; working closely with sales, loyalty-retention, and commercial teams to optimise offers and propositions for use across new acquisition and base management.
  • Ruthless focus on those activities which drive cash / EBITDA return; interlock with finance to improve both acquisition and loyalty-retention payback periods to remove those activities which are not cash generative and upweight those that are.
  • Responsible for managing timely build and deployment of price points (on legacy and new IT platforms) for both acquisition and retention-loyalty. This requires monitoring of our position Vs the competition and what is required to drive acquisition margin, re-contracting efficiency, and churn reduction.
  • Responsible for defining the pricing strategy for new acquisition and retentions, setting clear guardrails for the business and ensuring this is communicated across the business.
  • Understand new price point requests and lead through the commercial governance process for sign off.
  • Responsible for managing the price point and discount build process to ensure trading flexibility to meet business needs.
  • Lead regular reviews of the pricing strategy and shape recommended responses using commercial analysis, presenting optionality, and driving optimised price decision making.
  • Engage with market research and customer segmentation teams to understand customer preferences, emerging trends, and competitor activities to shape the commercial pricing strategy.
  • Implement and regularly review pricing process across the business, owning audit reviews and requests.
  • Work collaboratively with Commercial colleagues and stakeholders across TalkTalk to develop and deliver the commercial pricing plan.

Weekly brief - 14 november 2025. Here are some brief news pieces that may be of interest that Thinkbroadband haven't otherwise covered in the news this week. TalkTalk CFO appointment. TalkTalk has appointed Henry Davies as Group Chief Financial Officer. Previously, he was CFO of Circle Health Group, where he undertook multiple refinancing rounds, experience TalkTalk most certainly will value. Starlink reduces satellite broadband base price in the US. Starlink have introduced a new tier of service in the US which offers 100Mbps download speeds and is available for just $50 per month (around £40). This would make the service a lot more affordable in the UK if a similar product were offered, as the base price currently starts at £75/month. Virgin Media adds Identity Protection feature to its Advanced Security service. Virgin Media has opted to enhance its Advanced Security service by adding Identity Protection. The service provided by F-Secure provides antivirus as well as scam protection to up to 15 devices for £3.50 per month. Zen Internet donates £44k to charities. Zen Internet has made a donation to two North West charities totalling £44,228 following charitable initiatives undertaken by Zen employees and matched by the company. The two charities to benefit are Springhill Hospice, based in Rochdale, and The Children's Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT), in Altrincham, Cheshire.

TalkTalk secures £20m additional funding

TalkTalk Group has secured an additional £20 million ($27m) from existing shareholders, adding to a £100 million ($134m) investment from July 25, totaling approximately £120 million ($161m). The funds will enhance working capital and support new product investments. This follows reports of missed payments to suppliers and a customer loss of 400,000 in 2024. The company's debt is nearing £1.2 billion ($1.63bn). Over 90% of first lien and 87% of second lien creditors support the recent transaction.
