Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related or comparable field, or comparable field experience in a similar role with exposure to industrial automation systems.
  • Two to three years of experience with project management, budgeting, and quoting custom automated equipment or similar responsibilities within a relevant industry.
  • The ability to work independently in a self-directed manner while contributing as part of a team.
  • The ability to speak technically in front of co-workers and customers.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with automated processes and equipment, including assembly, welding, adhesive, and machining.
  • Familiarity with computer-aided design, 3D modeling, or viewing software.
  • Knowledge of project budgeting, custom automated equipment, manufacturing processes, and manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed automated assembly equipment proposals.
  • Interact with suppliers and cross-functional team members to solicit input and establish project proposals.
  • Prepare process steps, generate concepts, and perform budget and cycle-time analyses.
  • Identify labor-hour requirements, material requirements, risks, costs, and timing for each project.
  • Obtain external quotes from vendors, identify new support sources, and advance process technology.
  • Understand customer expectations and convey them to fellow team members.
  • Lead quote- and project-related meetings as needed.
  • Support project kickoff, build, and engineering teams with concepts and customer-specific details.
  • Assist in expanding workable libraries for an actual-cost feedback loop to improve estimating.
  • Independently support customer visits and meetings, occasionally off-site at customer facilities.
  • Manage customer relationships and requests professionally.
  • Build customer relationships.
  • Communicate developments to company management in real time.
  • Embody and uphold the company's Operating Principles.
