Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an Appian Developer
  • Appian certification (e.g., Appian Certified Developer) is a significant plus
  • Proven experience with the Appian platform, including Appian Process Modeler, SAIL, Records, Sites, and Integrations
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and proficiency in SQL
  • Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with web services (REST/SOAP) and APIs
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Must be a US citizen and/or green card holder and be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy BPM applications using the Appian platform, including process models, user interfaces, reports, and integrations
  • Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate them into technical specifications
  • Develop and configure Appian components such as SAIL forms, records, sites, and reports to meet project needs
  • Utilize Appian's low-code capabilities to rapidly prototype and iterate on solutions
  • Integrate Appian applications with external systems using web services (SOAP/REST), JDBC, and other integration methods
  • Design and implement data models, and manage data within Appian to ensure data integrity and security
  • Develop and optimize Appian and SQL queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing
  • Conduct thorough unit testing, integration testing, and system testing to ensure the quality and reliability of Appian applications
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, and provide timely resolutions
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high coding standards and best practices
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements for existing Appian applications
  • Monitor application performance and proactively address any issues
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Appian features and releases, and recommend platform upgrades and improvements
