Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in ecommerce or web merchandising, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and improving core key performance indicators.
  • Extensive knowledge of profitable ecommerce operations, including site merchandising, user experience and user interface, analytics, capacity planning, and the end-to-end customer journey.
  • Technical fluency to direct web development requirements, manage quality assurance, and drive workflow automation.
  • Strong communication, project management, and change management skills.
  • Ability to solve problems proactively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Availability to work an average of 45 hours per week and be on call during evenings, weekends, and holidays, with alternative days off in lieu of major holidays.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the overarching ecommerce roadmap to scale the online business and align digital initiatives with broader company revenue goals.
  • Drive improvements in conversion rate, revenue per visitor, and average order value.
  • Coordinate with developers, marketing, operations, and creative teams to align and execute digital initiatives across the business.
  • Monitor and dynamically adjust inventory, including adding trips and updating pricing, to maximize net revenue using operational costs, sales forecasts, customer behavior, and competitive analysis.
  • Develop and execute pricing strategies, sitewide sales, and promotional campaigns that drive revenue while protecting margins.
  • Own product merchandising by selecting imagery, writing product copy, and curating the ecommerce experience.
  • Identify platform bottlenecks and pain points, develop actionable requirements to improve platform functionality, and automate workflows.
  • Direct the user experience and user interface designer with requirements, data-driven insights, and strategic guidance to improve site architecture, navigation, and the customer journey.
  • Perform quality assurance testing on new web development features, platform updates, and bug fixes before live deployment.
  • Analyze site data to diagnose performance issues and design, launch, and manage A/B tests to validate site improvements and drive growth.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience driving ticket sales, booking capacities, or travel/event ecommerce is a strong plus.
