Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in portfolio accounting, or middle office environment
  • 3 years of experience in bank debt operations
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • Experience with SS&C Geneva is strongly preferred
  • Strong organization and written and verbal communications skills
  • Adept at multi-tasking and meeting deadlines
  • Familiarity with Eze Castle OMS preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
  • Process daily loan trades (syndicated, distressed) and allocations on a daily basis, verify P&L on pending trades
  • Create new loan securities and maintain security information as needed
  • Settle and fund bank debt and trade claim activity, reconcile, and manage activity to such positions
  • Confirm bank debt positions and activity with loan agents
  • Manage global loan portfolio by processing/reviewing all bank debt activity such as rollovers, paydowns, PIKs, drawdown
  • Organize loan restructuring by coordinating between the investment, legal, tax and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely bookings
  • Record, verify, and reconcile various physical and derivative positions (equity derivatives, interest rate swaps, etc.) at several counterparties
  • Calculate interest and dividends; ensure income/expense is recorded correctly
  • Prepare wire instructions for funds transfers as necessary; liaise with bank operations at various counterparties and reconcile all cash receipts
  • Work with accounting group to ensure all activity is properly recorded and documented
  • Assist in year-end audit review
  • Prepare data for regulatory filings
  • Reconcile activity with Third Party Administrator
  • Assist in annual SOC1 preparation and reporting
