Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required
  • 10+ years of relevant experience at a fast-paced company
  • Proven leadership in integrating government relations and public policy with business strategy, operations, communications, and marketing
  • Experience identifying, researching, and distilling complex national, state, and/or local regulatory issues and opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with government officials and community leaders
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner
  • Experience in AI technology, mobility, real estate, or related fields is a plus
Responsibilities
  • Establish the strategic direction for the government affairs function to advance the company’s business goals and objectives
  • Collaborate closely with Communications, Marketing, and CEO’s Office to execute a brand policy campaign
  • Serve as primary point of contact for all matters related to governmental relations and public policy
  • Cultivate relationships and lead engagement with regulatory bodies, legislative offices, government agencies, and community organizations
  • Identify and assess regulatory and political risks
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to integrate government affairs strategies with broader business priorities
  • Manage relationships with external consultants, lobbyists, and other relevant partners
  • Stay current on regulatory trends and developments
  • Represent Metropolis in industry associations, forums, and public events
