Requirements
  • Minimum 4-year accredited degree in Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years of industry experience, background in natural gas distribution and transmission work preferred
  • Ability to manage engineering and design for multiple projects simultaneously
  • Pipeline design and construction projects involving transmission and distribution of oil and natural gas
  • Knowledge of common engineering practices and Industrial codes including ANSI B31.3 piping code, ASME Section VIII pressure vessel code and other related codes and standards of ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API, IEC, NACE, NEC and NFPA
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment, measurement equipment, and piping interconnects in natural gas transmission facilities
  • Knowledge of Natural Gas Pipeline Engineering and Construction codes and standards
  • Communicate effectively and take on the required project challenges
  • Self-motivated worker requiring minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of gas piping systems, P&IDs, PFDs, site layout and material take-offs
  • Experience with MS Office, BRE Promax ®, AutoCAD ®, hydraulic simulation software a plus
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% of time to project locations as required
  • Experience in transmission pipeline systems
  • Experience in project management, construction management, or a related field
  • Strong technical background in transmission pipelines and metering & regulating stations including a working knowledge of DOT 192 and ASME B31.8
  • Project management skills and experience using project management software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with various internal departments, external stakeholders, and contractors to ensure project alignment with organizational goals and standards
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for residue transmission pipelines, metering and regulation stations, and compressor stations
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines in the design and execution of projects
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and analyze residue transmission pipelines, metering and regulation stations, and compressor stations
  • Oversee the procurement process for equipment, materials, and services required for the projects
  • Manage contracts with vendors and contractors, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications
  • Supervise and monitor construction field activities of projects
  • Address issues or challenges that arise during the execution phase and implement solutions
  • Ensure that all projects adhere to relevant regulatory requirements and standards
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and recommended adjustments to projects as needed
  • Prioritize and enforce safety protocols in all aspects of project execution
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and implement measures to minimize environmental impacts
  • Assist in maintaining and managing accurate and up to date project documentation, including design specification, construction records and operational procedures
  • Generate regular reports on project progress, performance and efficiency improvements
  • Manage audits for all records associated with finalized job book documentation
  • Provide technical support to resolve operational issues in residue transmission pipelines, metering stations and compressor stations
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency improvements and cost reduction
  • Develop and implement projects aimed at enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of operations
