Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (such as computer science, information technology, or business administration)
  • Project Management Institute certification or equivalent certification (PMP, ITIL etc.)
  • 5 to 8 years’ experience in managing large-scale IT projects or contracts, preferably in a government or federal context.
Responsibilities

  • Contract Knowledge: In-depth understanding of government contracts, including terms, deliverables, performance metrics, and compliance with FAR and other guidelines.
  • Technical Acumen: Solid expertise in IT systems, infrastructure, and services, with the ability to assess technical requirements and align them with contract goals.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, address concerns, and maintain positive relationships.
  • Risk Mitigation: Skilled in identifying transition-related risks, developing contingency plans, and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Financial Oversight: Proficient in budget management, tracking expenses, allocating resources, and monitoring financial aspects of transitions to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Change Management: Experienced in guiding organizational change during transitions and ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Team Leadership: Adept at leading cross-functional teams, motivating team members, and resolving conflicts.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Capable of maintaining accurate records of transition activities and providing regular progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensures compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements while monitoring service delivery and performance.
  • Vendor Coordination: Experienced in collaborating with subcontractors and vendors to meet objectives and ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Demonstrates the ability to handle unexpected challenges, adapt to changing circumstances, and solve complex problems creatively.
