- High school degree or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Complete a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition with a pleasing appearance.
- Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms, and extinguishers.
- Change filters on heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning equipment.
- Carry, lift, and stock supplies.
- Assume the maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in the supervisor's absence.
