Quick Role Overview: Responsible for leading Aura’s inventory accounting efforts, working closely with both our US and China-based manufacturing and accounting teams. Ideal candidate has consumer goods and Asian manufacturing experience. Netsuite knowledge and Mandarin language skills helpful, but not required.       

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Aura’s manufacturing teams in the US and China to track inventory and product cost.
• Evolve and manage Aura’s inventory management reporting including inventory aging, stock reports, component purchase tracking and costing, and other data. 
• Reconcile inventory accounts, POs, receipts, fulfillment, transfers on a regular basis.
• Track production purchases and product cost, make corresponding entries, and produce related analysis.
• Assist and support operations by entering inventory management and supply chain transactions and adjustments in NetSuite (POs, Bill of Materials/product costing, goods receipts, fulfillment, transfers, etc.).
• Help with the implementation of processes and controls to improve and scale the accounting function and safeguard assets.
• Provide accounting assistance and support on the implementation of accounting policies.
• Create and record intercompany invoices and reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Assist with audit, bank, and other third party requests.
• Work on various other projects such as preparing journal entries, as needed.
• Period close tasks related to your assigned areas of responsibility; analyses, journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations; including variance analyses and explanations.
• Provide oversight, guidance, and mentorship to a Staff level Accountant primarily responsible for Payables, T&E, assigned balance sheet accounts and close tasks.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of accounting experience, in e-commerce or consumer goods
• 2+ years working in cost accounting for an Asian manufacturing operation.
• NetSuite experience preferred, including knowledge of NetSuite’s inventory module.
• Preference for dynamic, high-growth environments and the opportunity to create new processes.
• A positive, solutions-oriented attitude.

Compensation & Benefits: Salary for this role will be $90,000 - $115,000. This role qualifies for Aura’s stock option program.   

For full-time, US-based employees. Benefits may differ for part-time or international roles.
