  • Initiating sample chain-of-custody paperwork and/or electronic records
  • Providing timely notification of sample receipt to appropriate BAL/client personnel
  • Generating and maintaining records in a GxP compliant manner
  • Managing sample receipt freezer inventory
  • Collecting metrics data required to monitor sample receipt processes
  • Training new Sample Management Technicians
  • Assisting with disposition of samples
  • Assisting with internal transfer of samples from temporary freezers to permanent freezers
  • Following BAL SOPs
  • Accessioning samples as needed
  • Reviewing study sample metadata to confirm consistency between the tube labels, study paperwork, and electronic sample management systems
  • Accessioning samples into LIMS
  • Importing electronic data into electronic sample management system
  • Resolving discrepancies in the eSMS system
  • Managing pre- and post-test sample storage
  • Pulling/checking out samples for testing
  • Checking in samples after testing
  • Other duties as needed
