As a Senior Network Engineer, you will take on a leadership role, responsible for deploying and maintaining the company’s network infrastructure both on-site and in the cloud. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing, analyzing, and supporting the company’s LAN, WAN, and wireless networks. Additionally, you will handle escalations and assist in troubleshooting complex network issues, providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 support to internal customers. You will work collaboratively with the IT team to ensure seamless integration and high-performance interoperability with the corporate network.

Your Success Profile

• Achieves 99.9% network uptime across office locations and cloud environments through proactive monitoring, optimization, and rapid incident resolution.
• Collaborates effectively with IT support, systems, and security teams to deliver comprehensive, secure network solutions, contributing to overall IT success.
• Automates repetitive network management tasks using Terraform, and scripting languages, reducing manual effort and minimizing errors.
• Reduces escalations from development teams by proactively identifying and addressing network bottlenecks impacting application requests.
• Implements and maintains Zero Trust security models, ensuring compliance with company standards and best practices across all environments.

What You Will Work On

• Designing and deploying advanced LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, including necessary hardware like firewalls, servers, switches, and APs.
• Resolving complex issues related to DNS, DHCP, and HTTP protocols, providing critical support for developer troubleshooting and optimizing application performance.
• Handling escalations and troubleshooting complex network issues, ensuring efficient and effective resolution.
• Providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 support to internal customers, addressing their network-related concerns.
• Collaborating with the security team to select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
• Ensuring timely patching of network hardware in both office and cloud environments.
• Collaborating closely with the IT team to ensure seamless integration and high-performance interoperability with the local corporate network.
• Updating VLANS, ACLs, and Firewall rules as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or a related field, with a track record of handling escalations.
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting intrusion prevention technologies, firewalls, proxy, VPN, and remote access. 
• Strong knowledge of network security best practices, including Zero Trust architecture.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), such as Terraform is a plus.
• Familiarity with Meraki, AWS, and network professional certifications such as CCNP and AWS Certified Advanced Networking is a plus.
• Strong grasp of OSI Layers 2 and 3 (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing) with a focus on higher-layer protocols, particularly DNS, DHCP, and HTTP.

The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $142,500.00 to $156,750.00 per year.
