Responsibilities
  • provide support into the signing and management of the Gas Transport Contracts (Contracts, Guarantees, Capacity Trades)
  • manage all the settlement activities with reference to sourcing agreements and to the actual and forecasted quantities sold and their related tariff components, the gas balancing and the annual and multi-annual settlement sessions (Sessioni di Aggiustamento)
  • manage the Power settlement activities with reference to the access to Mercato Elettrico Italiano GME and to the actual and forecasted dispatching charges
  • perform the Bilancio di Materia for both gas and power
  • support MET Italy Billing Team with reference to the Gas and Power Transport and Balancing components
  • manage the commissioning process with focus on automatize and innovate the system used
  • perform all the regulatory obbligation connected with MET Italy commodity and contract management, and with Remit regulation

MET Group acquires Comax France for expansion

The MET Group acquired 100% of Comax France, entering the French electricity market. Comax, founded in 2003, operates a 170 MW thermal power plant and a 29 MW battery storage system, with plans for further battery projects. MET, present in 30 gas markets and 22 trading points, received a €53 million investment from Keppel Corporation in 2020. Majority-owned by Lakatos Benjámin, MET is 90% employee-owned, with Keppel holding 10%.

MET Group secures €1.1B loan

Swiss company MET Group, aiming to acquire Achemos Group, signed a €1.1 billion loan agreement to finance its sales and trading segment. The loan, coordinated by ING Bank and joined by Rabobank, Natixis CIB, Société Générale, and 13 other international banks, can be increased to €1.7 billion. This agreement supports MET's gas, LNG, and electricity trading operations. In 2023, MET Group's consolidated sales revenue was €24.5 billion.
