- MA, Certified Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant candidates must be graduates of a school of medical assisting.
- Emergency Medical Technicians must hold a Wisconsin license.
- Licensed Practical Nurses must hold a Wisconsin license.
- A high school diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience is required.
- Wisconsin applicants must also graduate from a medical assistant school or training program or have an education equivalency for certification.
- No prior experience is required.
- Candidates must hold Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider certification from the American Heart Association.
- Candidates must be comfortable with hands-on patient care.
- Candidates must be able to stand and walk constantly, communicate orally, hear body sounds and alarms, lift or move objects and patients as specified, reach, grip, use a keyboard, perform data entry, and occasionally drive.
- Assist with provider-ordered treatments under the supervision of a provider, registered nurse, or licensed practical nurse and perform select clinical duties.
- Interview patients, measure vital signs, record information on patient charts, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
- Perform basic clerical duties, including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
- Perform materials management functions, including ordering and stocking supplies, and help maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Maintain constant alertness and work safely.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Administer injections and vaccines.
- Perform drug and alcohol screening.
- Perform general clinical administrative tasks in the Epic electronic medical record program.
