- Master's Degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent degree from an American Library Association-accredited institution.
- Advanced knowledge of the Baltic Languages.
- At least three years of experience in cataloging.
- Proven experience in transliteration.
- Strong knowledge of cataloging standards, including but not limited to Resource Description and Access, Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules, Second Edition, Library of Congress Subject Headings, Library of Congress Classification, and Machine Readable Cataloging standards, Bibliographic Information and Computational Objects, and Name Authority Cooperative.
- Create Original, Enhanced Minimum Level, and Copy Cataloging records for collections of Baltic Languages material in various subject areas.
- Efficiently catalog Baltic language titles by supplying required metadata in MARC21-compliant bibliographic records.
- Classify the collection of monograph materials.
- Create and update records in an Integrated Library System cataloging system, ensuring accuracy and completeness in alignment with Name Authority Cooperative program standards.
- Assist with recommendations regarding new subject headings and classification numbers.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in cataloging standards and best practices.
