Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in MySQL database administration or similar roles
  • Profound expertise in AWS cloud services and database technologies such as MySQL replication, MySQL Cluster, and AWS RDS - Aurora
  • Advanced skills in UNIX, Python, Shell scripting, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
  • A proactive approach to database security, performance optimization, and troubleshooting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate in a team-oriented environment
Responsibilities
  • Architect, develop, and manage Cloud infrastructure alongside MySQL and NoSQL databases within high SLA environments
  • Ensure robust database administration for various applications, promoting continuous operations
  • Lead database maintenance tasks and disaster recovery strategies
  • Spearhead database consolidation, migration, and capacity planning efforts
  • Enhance database performance, security, and monitoring frameworks
  • Collaborate across functions to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and database issues
  • Engage in on-call rotations, providing critical 24x7 support for our production systems
