Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree essential; an MBA or advanced degree in Analytics is highly advantageous.
  • 5+ years of experience in category management, data analysis, trade marketing, merchandising, sales forecasting, and consumer or sales research.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Experience with JDA Space Planning is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of Retailer POS data and syndicated data analysis.
  • Proven ability to manage and influence key relationships with retailers, analysts, and vendors.
Responsibilities
  • Innovate Product Strategies: Develop and execute comprehensive seasonal product plans that enhance visibility and drive exceptional results across Walmart’s seasonal category.
  • Optimize Listings: Manage the strategic placement and presentation of seasonal products within Walmart’s modular setups, ensuring optimal visibility and impact.
  • Enhance Shopper Experience: Utilize data-driven insights to refine shopper navigation and boost purchase occasions for seasonal items, aligning offerings with shopper needs and preferences.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Apply Walmart’s proprietary data to tailor strategies for diverse store types and customer segments, maximizing seasonal product performance.
  • Creative Merchandising: Collaborate on innovative digital merchandising strategies to enhance the seasonal shopping experience and improve online conversion rates on Walmart.com.
  • Dynamic Reports: Create and implement comprehensive reports that provide actionable insights into seasonal trends, performance, and opportunities.
  • Enhanced Dashboards: Develop intuitive dashboards and data stories to convey complex information clearly and drive actionable decisions.
  • Performance Analysis: Evaluate space-to-sales metrics, competitive landscape, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement within the seasonal category.
  • Strategic Walk-Throughs: Partner with Walmart’s team to enhance modular walk-throughs using data-led insights, aligning strategies and investments to achieve seasonal success.
