Requirements
  • Deep expertise in at least one general-purpose application language and one infrastructure-as-code toolchain, preferably TypeScript or Python with Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture and cloud operations.
  • Experience running containerized workloads, with experience migrating to Azure Kubernetes Service.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of large-scale, cross-team platform capabilities from ideation to release, ensuring business requirements are gathered and met.
  • Ensure non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, reliability, security, observability, and cost, are met across the platform domain.
  • Partner with engineering managers and product teams to break designs into increments that teams can ship.
  • Write, critique, and defend architectural designs, including identifying and validating reversible and irreversible decisions.
  • Evaluate and make build-versus-buy recommendations for new or aging features and capabilities.
  • Contribute directly to the architecture and development of high-complexity features.
  • Establish and promote engineering best practices with the Principal Architect and turn effective practices into organization-wide standards.
  • Mentor engineers across the organization and help accelerate the product roadmap.
  • Understand the needs of engineering teams and business stakeholders and drive adoption of the platform.
  • Present the architecture to strategic customers and engage directly with their technical leadership regarding limitations and roadmap.
Desired Qualifications

New Study Quantifies The Impact Of Improved Clinical Trial Design Using Faro Health'S Study Designer Tool

Digital tool gives real-time feedback on the impact of changes to clinical study protocols, helping clinical teams reduce the cost, duration and burden of studies on sponsors, sites and patients.SAN DIEGO, CA / ACCESSWIRE / May 29, 2024 / A new study, published in the peer-reviewed journal Therapeutic Innovation & Regulatory Science and conducted in collaboration with Merck, shows that when Faro's Study Designer Tool was applied to clinical trial protocol development using a lean design methodology, it was easy to visualize, quantify, and therefore recommend, trial improvements.Specifically, the Faro Study Designer Tool compared a lean design approach, which starts from a "ground zero" schedule of assessments before adding changes, to the traditional, copy-and-paste method, which uses a past, complete schedule of assessments. In doing so the Tool showed that for certain trials, when using a lean design methodology, there would be less burden to study participants, trial sites and staff, a reduction in overall costs, and a shorter trial."The biggest problem in clinical protocol development today is that protocols are designed in Microsoft Word. No real-time feedback is given to clinical teams, making it harder to assess the impact of complex decisions that affect everyone involved, from patients to site staff, caregivers, regulators, and payers," said Scott Chetham, CEO, Faro Health.
