Requirements
- 10+ years combined experience across sales and consulting services
- Profound understanding of the Life Sciences industry and familiarity with digital transformation for Commercial within the sector
- Proven track record of cultivating multi-layered relationships across multiple functions including business, IT, and procurement
- Ability to develop and articulate a strong account vision and federate external/internal teams behind this to execute
- Team player, who has experience with managing complex matrix account governance and implementing account management frameworks with proven results
- Ability to articulate complex value propositions and benefits realized
- Organizational skills with the right amount of attention to detail
- Passion and enthusiasm for solving customers' problems
- Strong work ethic with the required sense of urgency towards customers' needs
- Self-starter / Self-motivator with little need for direct supervision
Responsibilities
- Manage the Global Partnership between Veeva and the account for Commercial with the goal of remaining a trusted partner for the long term
- Hold accountability for developing and implementing account vision, strategy, and ways of working
- Serve as the ambassador for your customer within Veeva by focusing on their needs and doing the right thing for them
- Actively nurture relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders across Commercial, Medical, IT, and procurement, and develop new ones as needed
- Protect existing business through robust daily account management, a strong focus on operational excellence, and a passion for understanding and supporting your customer's business and IT goals
- Oversee and coach the multi-functional global account team with robust internal governance to drive innovation and enable execution excellence
- Navigate complex sales cycles, articulate contextual value propositions, and negotiate key contracts and annual renewals of licenses
- Manage account administration and actively provide input for accurate forecasting
- Keep current with industry trends and expand knowledge of legacy and novel Veeva offerings
