  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills
  • Any combination of experience or education equivalent to three (3) years technical-level experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess data for accuracy and compliance
  • In-depth knowledge of administrative rules, policies, and procedures related to sentence calculations
  • Experience conducting quality control reviews and identifying discrepancies in data
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and training to diverse audiences
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with internal teams and external partners
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them accurately
Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the accuracy and consistency of sentence calculations within the Department of Corrections by conducting quality control reviews and interpreting administrative rules, policies, and procedures
  • Identifying errors or inconsistencies in sentence calculations
  • Providing technical assistance and training to PTAs, DOC staff, and external partners
  • Offering clear guidance on policies and procedures
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including legal teams and administrative staff, to enhance sentence calculation processes and ensure compliance with current regulations
  • Monitoring policy effectiveness, recommending updates to improve procedures, and developing training materials to support accurate and consistent application of rules
  • Staying up to date with changes in laws and policies and ensuring proper implementation
  • Serving as a subject matter expert on sentence calculation-related inquiries
Desired Qualifications
  • At least two (2) years prior experience as a Prison Term Analyst
  • Possess a Law Enforcement Database System (LEDS) Certification
  • Experience working with PTAs, OISC staff, or legal teams in a corrections environment
