Requirements
  • Experience in computer numerical control machining, preferably in a metals-focused environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently on second shift.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing may be required because the position is safety sensitive.
Responsibilities
  • Operate computer numerical controlled equipment and waterjet machinery on the warehouse floor.
  • Perform precision tool machining by monitoring feed rates, speeds, and specialized instruments.
  • Conduct inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and scales.
  • Troubleshoot machine malfunctions by editing specifications and performing maintenance.
  • Execute preventative maintenance routines and keep workspaces clean and safe.
  • Meet production goals for cycle time, quantity, and quality.
  • Interpret blueprints, dimensions, machine instructions, and project guidelines.
  • Apply working knowledge of computer numerical control programming to meet specific parameters and calculations when needed.
  • Handle moderately complex issues under general supervision and escalate issues when needed.
  • Mentor or coach junior team members to support their development.
  • Operate around heavy machinery while adhering to safety protocols.
