Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Manage the Laundry Plant department staff by hiring, training, observing and coaching
  • Ensure adherence to all departmental guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Establish production schedules designed to meet the requirements of the respective hotels and monitors activities to ensure that schedules are met
  • Manage personnel, work assignments, and scheduling of product/equipment usage to maximize performance and productivity of available resources
  • Communicate frequently with hotel leadership to obtain information necessary to establish production schedules which address the current needs of the individual properties with regard to linen & terry
  • Assist Laundry Plant Manager in coordination of inventory control and replacement purchase requisitions for all guestroom linen/terry and food and beverage linen.
  • Monitor chemical usage so as to maintain acceptable “per pound” production process costs
  • Produce reports relating to employee/equipment productivity, linen and terry usage, damage/discard statistics necessary to evaluate department performance and assist in maintaining operating par stocks for all guest room / F&B; linen, terry
  • Interact with Engineering on equipment repairs and preventive maintenance schedules, monitors performance of all recommended/required activities to ensure equipment performs safely, efficiently and that down time is kept to a minimum
  • Determine the need for, and conducts appropriate on-going training on equipment operation, sorting, safety and basics of laundry production
  • As an off-site plant, leader is responsible for additional safety, risk management and human resources responsibility
Desired Qualifications
  • 2 to 5 years at a Supervisory level within in a commercial, full-service laundry operation is preferred
  • Bi-lingual language skills is preferred
  • Prior experience in hospitality laundry or housekeeping or manufacturing environments is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of the mechanics of laundry equipment is preferred

Loews raises $500M through 4.940% senior notes due 2036

Loews Corporation has completed a $500 million public offering of 4.940% senior notes due 2036. The notes were issued on 18 February 2026 under the company's existing shelf registration, sold through an underwriting syndicate led by major banks. The notes pay semi-annual interest starting 1 October 2026 and include standard redemption terms. They may be redeemed at a make-whole price before 1 January 2036, and at par plus accrued interest thereafter, providing flexibility to manage interest costs. The transaction bolsters Loews' long-term funding profile and supports financing across its diversified portfolio, which spans insurance, energy, hospitality and packaging sectors. Loews Corporation posts $402M Q4 net income, buys back 8.9M shares for $782M in 2025

Loews Corporation reported net income of $402 million, or $1.94 per share, for the fourth quarter of 2025, compared to $187 million, or $0.86 per share, in the prior year period. Full-year net income reached $1,667 million, or $7.97 per share, versus $1,414 million, or $6.41 per share, in 2024. Book value per share increased to $90.71 at year-end 2025 from $79.49 a year earlier. The parent company held $3.9 billion in cash and investments against $1.8 billion of debt as of 31 December 2025. Loews repurchased 8.9 million common shares during 2025 for $782 million. Fourth-quarter results included contributions from CNA Financial, Boardwalk Pipelines, Loews Hotels and the corporate segment, with improved investment income partially offset by one-time charges.
