- Experience working cross culturally and with preliterate and/or non-native English speakers
- Flexibility and desire to learn and serve others
- Ability to read and write proficiently in English
- Ability to work well as part of a team and with diverse groups of people
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license
- Conduct initial intake to collect demographic data and assess program eligibility
- Conduct comprehensive family assessment with each participant, developing individual service plans
- Provide case management services which help participants achieve basic self-sufficiency benchmarks and meet service plans' goals
- Conduct regular check-ins
- Empower participants to achieve their goals through skill-building and resource access
- Provide participants and their sponsors with resources and training as necessary to ensure core services are completed
- Document participant information to appropriate administrative staff
- Make internal referrals as appropriate
- Keep all information updated in a secure database
- Establish and maintain community connections that are relevant and beneficial to participants
- Provide referrals and complete follow-up to ensure participants have been connected
- Maintain timely and accurate case files, case notes, and reporting records
- Maintain internal library of community organizations and agencies to make timely, appropriate referrals; outreach organizations to create partnerships as needed
- Attend external community meetings to build relationships with community agencies
- Collaborate with volunteers to support the work of volunteers engaging with clients
- Work closely with internal service teams and external service providers to ensure comprehensive service provision
- Attend all relevant internal meetings
