This position may work on a variety of civil engineering design projects, but will initially have an emphasis on water resources projects. Responsibilities of this role will include:

Preparing preliminary design plans, documents, and specifications under the guidance of senior engineers.
Conducting analyses, performing standard computations, and developing drawings and visual aids for projects.
Collaborating with the design team to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
Observing construction activities to gather relevant data and contribute to site assessments.
Utilizing design software and tools for drafting and modeling.
Supporting the development of cost estimates for projects.
Performing quality control self-checks of assigned work.
May also perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications for this role:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related engineering field
Passed, or pursuing passage of, the FE/EIT exam
Relevant full-time or internship experience in civil engineering, preferably in site, transportation, or water resources design.
Experience in Utility Design and Coordination is also desirable.
Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
