Requirements
  • 2+ years experience as a VP at a Series C+/$50MM+ revenue startup with multiple direct reports
  • 7+ years of experience in a combination of corporate finance, investment banking, and/or management consulting roles
  • Experience with multiple transactions, including having led at least one $100MM+ transaction at a startup
  • Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exemplary history of financial project management
  • Exceptionally strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
  • Experience with financial monitoring and projections for transaction-based (e.g. non-SAAS) businesses
Responsibilities
  • Drive financial analysis and forecasting, including defining, calculating, and monitoring key metrics and performance indicators
  • Translate detailed financial data into a compelling story about the business for external partners
  • Oversee the company-wide budgeting process and work with department heads to understand variance
  • Oversee our annual financial audit
  • Oversee our treasury and tax planning & compliance with support from internal and external resources - you’ll “own” the company bank accounts
  • Ensure the company is prepared for due diligence in the event of a financing or acquisition
  • Establish and maintain internal financial controls and policies
  • Accelerate the velocity of financial forecasting and backtest results to identify areas for potential improvement
  • Work with the data team to scope additional financial data needs
  • Surface areas of potential financial risk to leadership and identify mitigation strategies
  • Work with leadership on strategic, organizational, and operational projects designed to increase revenue and improve productivity and operational efficiency
