- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams
- Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cost accounting
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial statements to support strategic business planning
- Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations that drive operational and strategic decisions
- Oversee audits, tax filings, and compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements
- Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Support cost accounting and inventory management processes, ensuring accurate product costing and margin analysis
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial health of the organization
- Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense industry strongly preferred
- CPA or MBA preferred
