Requirements
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Licensure by the state in the designated geographic area for the applicable therapy profession.
  • Ability to perform approximately 10% sedentary tasks and 90% physical tasks.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate patient-care records for all patients on the personal caseload.
  • Report Occupational Therapy billing information correctly for all patients on the personal caseload.
  • Provide direct patient care as prescribed, including evaluation and treatment planning.
  • Report and interpret treatment results.
  • Participate in the development and presentation of facility in-services as requested.
  • Supervise support personnel in the immediate work areas as appropriate.
  • Perform clinical functions including screenings, evaluations, treatment-plan development, and treatment delivery in accordance with facility, Medicare, and Acacia Health Centers policies and procedures.
  • Participate in meetings regarding patient care as appropriate.
  • Assist with community education and facility public-relations activities when appropriate.
  • Maintain a high standard of resident care.
  • Respond immediately to crises and calls for assistance.
  • Participate in in-services, department meetings, and continuing education.
  • Educate patients' families and staff about the patient's specific treatment plan and therapy goals.
  • Coordinate and cooperate with other staff members to carry out established treatment plans.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, visitors, and coworkers.
