  • Pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline, e.g., Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative, e.g., school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, leadership on school or work projects, etc.
  • Basic understanding of embedded systems and electronics, including C programming
  • Ability to work in both a team and individual setting
  • Effective communication, time management, and creative problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Sophomore year must be complete by the start of the summer internship program for undergraduate candidates
  • Minimum 3.0 on 4.0 GPA scale
  • A desire to learn, grow, and develop by working on projects that will impact Allegion’s business and customers
Responsibilities
  • Assist in design, development, and testing of firmware
  • Participate in code reviews with your peers
  • Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving firmware related customer issues
  • Deepen your understanding in embedded systems and the use of development tools, such as debuggers and logic analyzers
  • Obtain the experience to create a foundation for growth and future opportunities with Allegion
  • Work with more experienced engineers to produce well-rounded solutions
