Requirements
  • 8+ years of operations experience, with at least 5 years of healthcare industry experience, preferably in insurance and/or employer health benefits
  • Experience with health plans, health payer systems and an understanding of the commercial health insurance marketplace is required
  • Bachelor’s degree; preferred in business, public health, or healthcare administration
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement operational and technical processes to meet business requirements, including experience with BPMN and/or UPM process modeling
  • Adaptive, curious, and inquisitive, a natural problem solver who enjoys synthesizing complex problems
  • Self-starter who takes initiative, works independently, and thrives in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple projects at once while prioritizing across competing projects
  • Proven ability to inspire a team, develop leaders and hold teams to a high standard of performance
  • A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse functions, backgrounds, and working styles
  • Ability to communicate with day-to-day operational teams along with executive leadership through both written and oral communication
  • A high degree of comfort and familiarity (and willingness to upskill) with tools and technology
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and ability to efficiently work with large volumes of data and pivot tables
  • Able to work a hybrid schedule of 3 days/week in our NYC office
Responsibilities
  • Lead multi-functional teams to develop business requirements that inform business decisions and operational recommendations.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to design and evolve our operational playbook, including manual processes and workflows to optimize the member experience, remove redundancies, and complement the automated functions of our technical solution.
  • Work with Compliance to ensure our product and service meets regulatory requirements.
  • Action on key insights from regulatory updates, policy changes, and product performance in support of market, pricing, plan design, and strategic decisions.
  • Partner with Product leadership to inform product strategy, roadmap, and integration opportunities.
  • Build systems to collect data to identify trends, inform process and tool development, make business decisions, and develop performance metrics.
  • Partner with Finance and Tech to build dashboards and reporting to monitor team performance and measure KPIs.
  • Analyze operational performance of projects after execution.
  • Foster and promote a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
