  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure positive onboarding experience for new hires, including coordinating start date and work location(s), arranging for IT equipment delivery, employee badges, etc.
  • Manage and administer the organization's health benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and wellness programs, ensuring they meet the needs of employees and comply with legal requirements.
  • Ensure that reasonable accommodations are provided for employees with disabilities, working in compliance with ADA and other relevant regulations.
  • Manage the reporting and management of workplace injury claims and the administration of workers' compensation, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and timely resolution of claims.
  • Negotiate rates, manage and administer the commuter benefits program, including transportation subsidies and parking benefits, ensuring it is aligned with employee needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee and administer other employee benefit offerings, including but not limited to life insurance, disability insurance, and retirement plans.
  • Liaise with benefit providers, workers' compensation carriers, and vendors to negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding health benefits, workplace injury claims, workers' compensation, commuter benefits, and other employee benefits, providing clear communication, assistance with enrollment, and resolution of any benefit-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws related to health benefits, workers' compensation, and other employee benefits, including ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, and OSHA. Prepare and submit required reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to evaluate, design, and implement benefit plan changes to enhance the overall benefits package.
  • Develop and conduct benefits education sessions for employees, ensuring they understand their options and the value of their benefits package.
  • Lead the annual benefits enrollment process, including the preparation of materials, communication plans, and system updates.
  • Analyze benefits data, workplace injury trends, workers' compensation claims, and commuter benefits usage to make recommendations for improvements and cost-saving measures.
  • Address and resolve complex benefit issues, workplace injury claims, workers' compensation cases, and commuter benefits concerns, working closely with employees, vendors, and insurers to ensure satisfactory outcomes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Federal and/or public sector experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in large infrastructure projects is highly desired.
  • Experience implementing HRIS systems such as Paychex is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as CEBS, PHR, or SHRM-CP are preferred.
