- Experience in OpenStack development.
- Very strong scripting skills in Python and Ruby.
- Understanding of open source technologies and experience working with relational database management systems, including MySQL, NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Django, and Apache HTTP Server.
- Experience working with messaging services such as RabbitMQ.
- Experience with high-availability architecture and deployments, including Linux HA, Pacemaker, and DRBD.
- Understanding of Linux scheduling, including cgroups, Linux networking, including namespaces, SELinux, iptables, IP, GRE, and VXLAN, and software-defined networking technology such as Open vSwitch.
- Experience configuring storage on Linux, including LVM, iSCSI, SAN, NAS, and multipath.
- Agile development experience.
- Knowledge of cloud and software engineering.
- Knowledge of or experience within infrastructure, including systems, databases, cloud, networking, storage, and compute.
- Perform deep development and enhancement of OpenStack components, including Cinder, Swift, Image, Horizon, Identity, and Billing (Ceilometer).
- Participate in product design activities requiring research and analysis of OpenStack.
- Research problems and develop solutions for issues discovered by Operations teams.
- Research bugs and submit bug reports to internal teams or upstream OpenStack projects.
- Drive the execution of multiple business plans and infrastructure projects across the client.
- Maintain and advance industry expertise and provide technical leadership.
