Requirements
  • Prior experience as a Head of Product or Vice President of Product in a company that went through a similar stage of growth.
  • Experience shipping an Internet of Things or hardware-enabled product is ideal; deep, demonstrable appetite for hardware is non-negotiable.

  • Ability to describe in detail a product strategy personally written and used by the company.
  • Experience killing features and product bets based on discovery evidence.
  • Experience coaching Product Managers from junior to senior and from senior to manager.
  • Ability to communicate with executive stakeholders in language they understand.
  • Ability to disagree before decisions, commit after them, and support decisions afterward.
Responsibilities
  • Build the next chapter of the product organization by introducing an empowered product organization operating model.
  • Install a consistent product operating model across hardware, artificial intelligence, and the Waste and Safety software-as-a-service verticals.
  • Develop and cascade product strategy across product layers so squads can leverage their impact zones.
  • Establish North Star metrics by squad and continuous discovery as a weekly team habit.
  • Coach squads to become teams that own outcomes and apply assumption testing to roadmap decisions.
  • Scale the Product function as the company grows from approximately 130 to 300 people.
  • Develop focused, insight-driven product bets aligned with company strategy across hardware, artificial intelligence, and the two software-as-a-service verticals.
  • Transform cross-functional teams consisting of Product Managers, Designers, Tech Leads, and engineers into empowered product teams that own outcomes.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop Product Managers and Designers.
  • Evangelize an impact-focused culture and Product's role in company growth.
  • Align the Vice President of Engineering, Head of Hardware, and Product organization through the product strategy.
  • Partner with the CTPO on strategy execution, operating model, teams, and culture.
  • Lead the Quarterly Product Strategy Review presented to the executive committee.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience shipping an Internet of Things or hardware-enabled product.
  • Experience working across hardware, mechatronics, firmware, and artificial intelligence engineering.
  • Experience managing trade-offs between slower hardware release cycles and faster software-as-a-service cycles.

Vizzia provides a platform that helps land managers prevent illegal dumping. It uses artificial intelligence and smart detectors to identify and monitor dumping sites, enabling municipalities, environmental agencies, and private landowners to take action. The system works by continuously analyzing data from sensors and cameras to detect waste dumping events and to track hotspots over time. Clients access the service via a subscription model, paying a recurring fee for access to the platform and ongoing support. This setup provides a predictable revenue stream for Vizzia. Compared with other players, Vizzia focuses on environmental monitoring and waste management through AI-powered detection and site monitoring, targeting organizations responsible for land stewardship. The company aims to reduce illegal dumping, protect public health, and support environmental protection by giving land managers timely intelligence and actionable insights.

Vizzia: Powering the Next Generation of Public Safety with €30 Million in Series B Funding

Vizzia: powering the next generation of public safety with €30 million in Series B funding. In an era where urban safety and environmental cleanliness are top priorities for cities across Europe, one company is emerging at the forefront of innovation. Vizzia, a Paris-based public safety technology startup, has vaulted into prominence with its cutting-edge video surveillance and real-time monitoring platform - a solution designed to help local authorities protect communities while respecting regulatory standards. Reinventing public safety technology. Founded in 2021 by Katrin de Proyart and Alexandre Leboucher, Vizzia has rapidly built a reputation for delivering autonomous, AI-enabled surveillance systems that detect illegal activities - initially focusing on issues like illegal waste dumping and now expanding into broader urban security use cases. The platform integrates advanced video analytics with 4G/5G-connected cameras that can be deployed quickly and without extensive infrastructure, giving municipalities an agile alternative to traditional CCTV systems. More than 250 municipalities across France and internationally already rely on Vizzia's technology, empowering them to respond rapidly and effectively to public safety challenges. A game-changing funding milestone. Vizzia recently announced a €30 million Series B funding round, led by Base10 Partners, with participation from Headline and SISTAFUND, bringing the company's total funding to nearly €50 million. This milestone round - reported widely by European tech media - marks a pivotal moment for the startup, enabling it to accelerate product development, expand into new markets, and double down on recruitment. With plans to hire 150 additional employees in 2026, Vizzia is gearing up for rapid scaling. Strategic expansion across Europe. With this new capital, Vizzia aims to enhance its presence beyond France - notably in the United Kingdom and Italy - where demand for intelligent urban safety tools is growing. The company's leadership has set an ambitious target of equipping a new municipality every week throughout 2026, signaling both confidence and strong market traction. This expansion comes at a time when local governments are increasingly seeking solutions that can both improve public safety and comply with stringent data privacy laws like the EU AI Act and GDPR. Vizzia's platform - designed with compliance and civil liberties in mind - positions the company as a trusted partner for public authorities navigating this complex landscape. Why Vizzia matters: technology meets impact. Vizzia's technology is more than just another camera system. Its blend of AI-powered analytics, rapid deployment, and ease of use addresses real urban challenges: * Illegal Waste Detection: Municipalities report significant reductions in abandoned waste sites through targeted surveillance. * Flexible Infrastructure: 4G/5G connectivity lets systems go live in hours instead of weeks. * Scalable Solutions: The platform's modular architecture supports both small towns and large cities. By offering tools that can quickly alert authorities to incidents and assist investigations through AI-powered analysis, Vizzia is helping redefine how cities approach safety, cleanliness, and public trust. Balancing innovation with responsibility. The rise of urban surveillance technologies isn't without controversy. Discussions around digital rights and automated monitoring underscore the need for privacy-centric design. Vizzia has responded to these concerns, emphasizing that its systems are compliant by design and adhere to Europe's most rigorous standards - a crucial differentiator as municipalities evaluate surveillance solutions. The road ahead. As Vizzia advances toward broader continental adoption, its combination of technological sophistication, strategic capital backing, and regulatory mindfulness positions it well for the future. With strengthened investor confidence and ambitious growth goals, the company is poised to be a leader in sovereign public safety infrastructure across Europe. Whether cities are seeking to curb environmental issues like illegal dumping or enhance overall urban security, Vizzia's expanding suite of solutions may very well define the next generation of civic safety technology.
