Requirements
  • A high school diploma, GED, or international equivalent is required.
  • A technical degree, certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in a technical, engineering, manufacturing, electronics, reliability, quality, or related field is required.
  • Experience working in a technical, manufacturing, quality, reliability, electronics, semiconductor, or laboratory environment is preferred, with 0–3 years identified.
  • Hands-on experience working with electronic components, test boards, fixtures, or laboratory equipment is required.
  • Ability to follow written procedures, test plans, work instructions, and engineering direction accurately is required.
  • Basic understanding of electronic components, assemblies, soldered boards, and electrostatic discharge handling practices is required.
  • Ability to document test results, observations, sample status, and inspection findings clearly and accurately is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and basic data entry is required.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills and the ability to recognize abnormal test or sample conditions are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and support changing priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment is required.
  • Ability to communicate and work with engineers, technicians, production, quality assurance, and external laboratories is required.
  • Ability and willingness to comply with corporate safety initiatives is required.

Responsibilities
  • Support reliability qualification activities for new products, product changes, process changes, vendor qualifications, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Prepare reliability test samples, including labeling, serialization, inspection, handling, and loading into test fixtures, test boards, or environmental chambers.
  • Assist with setup, monitoring, and completion of reliability tests, including temperature cycling, high-temperature storage, humidity testing, high-temperature operating life, temperature humidity bias, moisture sensitivity level preconditioning, vibration, and mechanical shock.
  • Coordinate with third-party reliability and environmental test partners to communicate test requirements, provide sample information, track test progress, and support timely completion of qualification activities.
  • Perform pre-test, interim, and post-test inspections, including visual inspection, electrical verification, and documentation of results.
  • Maintain accurate reliability records, including sample status, serial numbers, test conditions, inspection results, failures, photographs, and observations.
  • Support failure-analysis activities by preparing samples, tracking failures, coordinating scanning acoustic microscopy, X-ray, cross-section, decapsulation, scanning electron microscopy, or other analysis methods, and organizing related results.
  • Operate and support reliability laboratory equipment, including environmental chambers, ovens, microscopes, power supplies, meters, data loggers, and related test equipment.
  • Identify and report sample abnormalities, equipment issues, unexpected test conditions, or potential reliability concerns to the Reliability Engineer or Reliability Manager.
  • Maintain sample traceability, laboratory organization, equipment records, and a clean, safe, and electrostatic-discharge-compliant working environment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience using microscopes, multimeters, power supplies, environmental chambers, or other standard laboratory equipment.
  • Familiarity with reliability testing such as temperature cycling, humidity testing, high-temperature operating life, temperature humidity bias, highly accelerated stress testing, moisture sensitivity level, vibration, or mechanical shock.
  • Experience with radio-frequency and microwave components, semiconductor devices, integrated-circuit packages, quad flat no-lead packages, or hybrid microelectronic assemblies.

Mini-Circuits Launches Wideband Digital Step Attenuator from 0.1 to 24 GHz

Mini-Circuits launches wideband digital step attenuator from 0.1 to 24 GHz. Mini-Circuits has introduced the ZX76-24G-30-S+, a 50 ohm coaxial solid-state digital step attenuator designed for wideband RF applications spanning 0.1 to 24 GHz. Engineered for precision and flexibility, the attenuator offers programmable attenuation from 0 to 31.5 dB in 0.5 dB steps, providing fine control over signal levels across a wide frequency range. The ZX76-24G-30-S+ features a 6-bit parallel control interface that requires no external clock and supports dual (+3.3 V / -3.0 V) or single-supply operation (+3.3 V to +5.4 V). Built for durability in demanding environments, it delivers high input IP3 performance of +50 dBm, good return loss (typical 15 dB), and glitch-free attenuation transitions, making it well-suited for test instrumentation, communication infrastructure, and defense applications such as radar, EW, ECM, and SATCOM systems. The device's robust design also ensures immunity to latch-up and stable operation from 0°C to +50°C, while supporting input power levels up to +22 dBm. It operates with an insertion loss as low as 3 dB (typically) up to 13 GHz and 4.5 dB (typically) up to 24 GHz. To simplify integration, Mini-Circuits includes a CBL-5FT-MPD+ pigtail control cable, featuring stripped wire ends and a pre-mounted connector for easy interface with the attenuator's 10-pin digital control port. Compact and rugged, the ZX76-24G-30-S+ combines precision, programmability, and wide frequency coverage, enabling engineers to achieve reliable signal conditioning in both laboratory and field setups.
