Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in business planning, budget development, financial reporting, performance measurement, process improvement and project management.
  • Proficiency in using analytical software and statistical methods to analyze fare data and develop predictive models, as well as an understanding of various fare structures and payment technologies and their implications.
  • Ability to develop and interpret complex data and predictive modelling.
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial statistical analysis and financial modelling.
  • Highly developed analytic skills and mathematical aptitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet schedules and multi-tasks across multiple projects.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Takes responsibility and accountability for ensuring the project produces required results to the scope, milestones, quality and budget.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct modeling of transit fare scenarios using a transit fare model to advise and inform decisions related to the fare revenue budget and user fee schedule.
  • Adjust and maintain the transit fare model to ensure results are accurately calibrated to provide precise forecasts.
  • Research and develop an understanding of the relationship between fare offerings, price points, and rider behavior, and incorporate findings into fare modeling and analysis.
  • Develop fare policy studies to assist transit agencies in evaluating the products they offer to customers, determining charges for these products, and assessing how these decisions impact ridership and revenue.
  • Aid transit agencies in designing, procuring, and implementing the systems used to operate fare programs.
  • Assist in the development of procurement documents, operating agreements, and other agreements such as RFPs, RFIs, Scope of Work, and KPIs.
  • Create and deliver technical and operational training programs for fare modeling programs.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Strong experience in managing the review and approval of documents and discipline-specific deliverables, certifications, processes, and plans in a multi-project environment is highly desirable.
