Requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Familiarity with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work independently and with team members with minimum supervision.
  • Three years of full-cycle accounting experience with emphasis on General Ledger.
  • Experience with Unanet, Deltek, or other enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline.
  • Detail-oriented analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Perform bank reconciliations and track weekly cash postings.
  • Perform month-end close duties, including recurring tasks, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain subledgers and amortization schedules.
  • Research and reconcile discrepancies for assigned account reconciliations.
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts and prepare monthly elimination entries.
  • Record deposits and customer payments.
  • Monitor accounting transactions for compliance with GAAP, DFARS, and company policy.
  • Support financial statement preparation and account fluctuation analysis.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Assist with developing and improving accounting policies, guidelines, and internal controls.
  • Maintain documentation and procedures in accordance with company policy.
  • Analyze data and create ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

AEVEX acquires BlackSea Technologies for up to $650M to expand multi-domain autonomous systems

AEVEX Corp. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire BlackSea Technologies, a major provider of unmanned surface and subsea vessels in the US defence market. The deal is valued at up to $650 million on a cash-free, debt-free basis, comprising approximately $250 million in cash, $350 million in AEVEX Class A common stock, and $50 million in performance-based earnout consideration. The acquisition is expected to close in September 2026, subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions. BlackSea is expected to generate $150 million in revenue for fiscal year 2026. The combined entity will create one of the industry's most comprehensive autonomous systems portfolios, spanning air, surface and subsea domains. AEVEX intends to integrate its CompassX autonomy ecosystem with BlackSea's maritime platforms, whilst combining manufacturing capabilities across multiple US facilities.

Thomas will lead the company's government engagement strategy at federal and local levels, strengthen Capitol Hill relationships, and help shape policy outcomes. AVEX scores $50M US Air Force contract, shares surge 16% on defence win

AEVEX appoints Murali Krishnan as chief growth officer to drive expansion

AEVEX Corp. has appointed Murali Krishnan as Chief Growth Officer to lead the company's growth strategy, business development and market expansion initiatives. Krishnan brings over 20 years of executive leadership experience in defence technology, space systems and national security solutions.
