  • Experience with 3GPP Network Elements: HLR/HSS, DRA, STP, SMSC, GMSC, IMS Core, PGW, OCS, PCRF, AAA
  • Good understanding of telecom protocols and corresponding interfaces: GTP (S8), Diameter (S6a, Gx, Gy, Rx, Cx, Sh), MAP, Radius, SMPP, SIP
  • Experience of implementing telecoms integrations.
  • Experience with Wireshark network analyser and scripting languages an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in telecoms Engineering or Degree in Computer/Telecoms Engineering.
  • Proven track record in working with small teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting network issues.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Desire to learn from and collaborate with peers.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Previous experience working to aggressive timelines essential.
  • Commitment to provide a high quality and professional service.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and take responsibility for the completion of tasks.
  • Ability to prioritise work tasks.
  • Adaptable and flexible in approach to work.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to support out-of-hours work where required and on-call rota.
  • New hires at Cubic³ are required to work onsite five days a week during their six-month probation period to get to know the company, their team, and our ways of working. After probation, we offer a flexible arrangement of up to eight work-from-home days per month, provided it aligns with business needs and performance standards. This arrangement is not a given for all roles.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for supporting the Cubic³ core network elements. Performing troubleshooting and analysis of network incidents.
  • Providing input and collaborating with other team members developing, implementing, integrating, and monitoring network team projects.
  • Expanding the network monitoring capability.
  • Ensuring consistent uptime of the core network.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for vendors and other Cubic³ teams.
  • Participating in knowledge transfer to and from fellow engineers.
