  • Demonstrated ability to own product strategy and roadmap for a complex technical product.
  • Strong customer discovery skills, with experience working directly with highly technical users and enterprise buyers.
  • Excellent prioritization judgment across customer requests, revenue urgency, technical constraints, and long-term product strategy.
  • Experience building product operating systems, including planning cadences, roadmap frameworks, product metrics, launch processes, discovery practices, and feedback loops.
  • Ability to communicate clearly at multiple altitudes, including executive strategy, customer workflow details, and engineering tradeoffs.
  • Strong product taste and high standards for usability, quality, and customer impact in complex technical products.
  • Commercial judgment and experience working closely with Sales, Customer Success, or GTM teams to prioritize customer input and support business goals.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and creating structure without slowing the company down.
Responsibilities
  • Translate company goals, including revenue growth, customer expansion, product adoption, technical differentiation, and category leadership, into clear product priorities.
  • Build a roadmap that balances near-term customer needs, enterprise deal requirements, technical platform investments, and long-term category-defining bets.
  • Create a product planning cadence that gives Engineering clarity, gives GTM confidence, and gives leadership visibility into tradeoffs.

  • Build a rigorous customer discovery practice rooted in user research and mechanisms for turning customer feedback into product insights.
  • Spend meaningful time with hardware engineers, ECAD admins, engineering managers, executives, technical evaluators, buyers, and internal customer-facing teams.
  • Synthesize insights from customers, Sales, Customer Experience, Solutions, and Engineering into clear product decisions.
  • Partner with GTM to clarify ICP, personas, positioning, launch narratives, and product adoption strategies.
  • Improve how the company moves from customer signal to product insight to initiative to epic to shipped product to adoption measurement.
  • Evolve product planning, prioritization, roadmap communication, launch, and feedback-loop processes so they scale with the company.
  • Create product metrics and dashboards that measure activation, adoption, engagement, retention, customer impact, and expansion signals.
  • Create clear frameworks for prioritizing customer requests, deal blockers, technical investments, usability improvements, and long-term strategic bets.
  • Ensure roadmap decisions are communicated clearly and consistently across the company.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Product Managers and adjacent contributors, creating career development paths, feedback rhythms, and operating norms that help the team scale.
  • Help Product Managers improve at problem definition, stakeholder management, customer research, roadmap planning, product storytelling, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Hire and onboard future product leaders who raise the bar for customer empathy, technical fluency, strategic clarity, and execution.
  • Foster a product culture that is rigorous, collaborative, customer-obsessed, commercially aware, and comfortable operating in ambiguity.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the leadership team in setting company direction and making executive-level tradeoffs.
  • Bring product judgment into business decisions, including market focus, customer segmentation, expansion opportunities, and strategic bets.
  • Partner closely with the CTO and VP of Software to ensure product strategy, technical architecture, and software execution stay tightly aligned.
  • Represent the product perspective in executive planning, board conversations, GTM strategy, hiring plans, and company operating rhythms.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience building AI-assisted products where accuracy, trust, explainability, and workflow integration matter.
  • Experience with enterprise deployments, self-hosted products, SOC 2, SSO, security reviews, and complex technical evaluations.
  • Experience leading product through a platform evolution, major UX reboot, or migration from an inherited technical or product foundation.
  • Experience representing product strategy in board, investor, or executive planning conversations.
  • Familiarity with developer tools, collaboration platforms, version control, automation platforms, or CI/CD systems.

AllSpice provides a subscription-based digital platform for asynchronous hardware design reviews, helping hardware teams review PCB designs, schematics, and manufacturing data without needing simultaneous meetings. The platform lets users upload designs, leave and track comments, and manage hardware-specific attributes such as development phases, ordering status, and manufacturing details. It integrates with project management tools like Jira so updates and approvals flow through the team in real time. Unlike traditional hardware review processes, AllSpice brings software-style collaboration to hardware development: it supports cross-discipline teams (electrical, mechanical, firmware) and offers centralized visibility across the design-to-manufacture lifecycle. The main goal is to make hardware development faster, more accurate, and more transparent, so products reach the market more efficiently.

What believers are saying

  • AllSpice raised $15 million in June 2025, bringing total funding to $25 million.
  • Its 2026 docs say DRCY runs in production for major hardware companies.
  • September 2026 blog evidence shows active customer momentum and public technical credibility.

What critics are saying

  • DRCY still cannot review PCB layouts and only checks one schematic at a time.
  • Flux.ai, Altium, Cadence, KiCad, and new AI PCB tools compress pricing.
  • A missed safety-critical error kills enterprise trust and freezes procurement across aerospace and defense.

What makes AllSpice unique

  • DRCY reviews native schematics against datasheets inline, with traceable evidence, in 2026.
  • AllSpice Actions automates ERC, DRC, BOM roll-ups, compliance history, and firmware retests.
  • Tools for Humanity used AllSpice for transparent Orb hardware reviews on September 4, 2026.

Two questions every hardware leader should answer before approving AI tools.

Two questions every hardware leader should answer before approving AI tools. At DesignCon this year, its CEO Valentina walked through how AllSpice thinks about AI tooling for hardware development. The talk covered eight specific opportunity areas where AI can move the needle, but the pattern Allspice, Inc. has seen working with Fortune 500 teams comes down to two questions. The companies getting results have answered both. The ones stuck in pilot hell haven't answered either. Every hardware engineering leader seems to have been asked to evaluate AI tools. Vendors are promising everything. Allspice, Inc. built DRCY, its AI agent for schematic review, because Allspice, Inc. kept seeing teams waste weeks on evaluations that were set up to fail. The technology wasn't the problem. They hadn't figured out if AI was the right tool in the first place. Here are the two questions Allspice, Inc.'d ask before you approve anything. AllSpice raises $15M for platform

AllSpice's platform, likened to GitHub for electrical engineering teams, has secured customers such as Blue Origin and Bose. The company recently raised a $15 million Series A funding round.

AllSpice’s platform is the GitHub for electrical engineering teams

AllSpice's platform sits between existing workflow software. It allows hardware teams to collaborate on the types of documents they traditionally work in — documents that don't easily translate over Slack and email — like PCB files and electronic CAD files, both of which are used to design circuit boards. AllSpice's platform has landed customers such as Blue Origin and Bose and just raised a $15 million Series A round.
